TIPA and Jungjingong Sign MOU to Support Technology Commercialization for SMEs
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to support the overseas expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and ventures by promoting technology commercialization and technology exports.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will jointly promote collaborative projects to facilitate the overseas expansion of SMEs and ventures with excellent technologies. They will also cooperate to support the exchange of domestic and international infrastructure and human resources, as well as the sharing of information on global markets and domestic and international technology trends to enhance the effectiveness of policy support outcomes.
Until now, SMEs and ventures have faced difficulties in technology commercialization and entering overseas markets due to a lack of global networks and technology and market information, despite possessing excellent technological capabilities.
Through this MOU, the two organizations will cooperate to mutually utilize overseas technology information and global market trend data issued by each, aiming to resolve the information shortage faced by SMEs and ventures. Furthermore, support for technology development and policy fund support projects will be more organically linked, gradually expanding preferential benefits for outstanding companies.
