According to the People's Daily on the 12th, Premier Li made these remarks while presiding over the "Government Special Allowance System Senior Talent Symposium" held in Beijing the previous day.
Premier Li evaluated that the special allowances provided to China's senior talents have greatly contributed to national development, saying, "The government special allowance is an important system that shows the Chinese Communist Party and the state respect, care for, and support talents."
He added, "This system is not only focused on material aspects but also aims to enhance the honor of talents, achieving great results over the past 30 years."
Premier Li stated, "To promote socialist modernization, we must rely on talents and make good use of the advantages of abundant manpower and talent resources," urging, "Senior talents should devote themselves to nurturing successors and supporting young people to play a significant role in scientific research."
