Pyojun Association Operates Blockchain Talent Training Program at Seoul ICT Innovation Square
Training 800 Practical Skilled Professionals
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Standards Association (President Kang Myung-soo) announced on the 12th that it will train blockchain professionals through the Seoul ICT Innovation Square, aiming to cultivate core digital talents, a key task of the Korean New Deal.
The Seoul ICT Innovation Square project, led by the Ministry of Science and ICT (Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency), aims to train practical developers in core software (SW) fields of the 4th Industrial Revolution, such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and 3D printing.
The AI and blockchain integrated education project at Seoul ICT Innovation Square is led by the Korea IT Business Promotion Association, with participation from the Korea Information and Communication Promotion Association and the Korea Standards Association. The Korea Standards Association is responsible for operating the blockchain curriculum and plans to train more than 800 blockchain professionals by 2022.
The education is completely free, and anyone interested in blockchain can apply. Applications can be made through the Seoul ICT Innovation Square education website. The curriculum consists of three blockchain planning courses for prospective entrepreneurs and planners in the blockchain field, and four courses on public and private application service development and projects for blockchain developers. It also offers courses reflecting the latest blockchain technology, such as decentralized identity verification technology.
Kang Myung-soo, president of the Korea Standards Association, said, "The blockchain curriculum at Seoul ICT Innovation Square is a top-level industry-academia-linked program in Korea, focused on training practical professionals," adding, "The AI integrated education at Seoul ICT Innovation Square is expected to serve as a stepping stone to strengthening global digital expertise."
