Jeongeup-si Selects 13 New Tenants for the First Half of the Year at Danpungmiin Shopping Mall
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk announced on the 12th that it has selected new companies to join the Jeongeup Danpungmiin Shopping Mall, which has maintained its reputation as the number one shopping destination for agricultural specialty products.
The city recruited new companies eligible for legal telecommunication sales of products produced and processed in Jeongeup from March 10 to April 9, targeting individuals and organizations.
As a result of the recruitment, 15 companies applied, and based on the screening regulations, after a field survey and an operations committee review, a total of 13 companies were finally selected, including 8 individual businesses and 5 corporate businesses.
The newly joining companies range from young entrepreneurs to mid-sized companies seeking to pioneer online sales channels.
With this, 117 companies are now operating in the Danpungmiin Shopping Mall, selling a total of about 900 diverse products.
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “Considering that online consumption has become routine due to COVID-19, by adding hopeful local companies, we will contribute to increasing sales through expanding online sales channels for agricultural specialty products and offering a diverse product lineup.”
