The Living in the Countryside program provides interested urban residents with two months of housing expenses and program experience fees, supporting rural culture, farming experiences, meetings with seniors who have returned to farming or rural living, cultural tourism site visits, and various experiences within the Miryang area.
The city selected the village to operate the program through a public contest in February and accepted applications from urban residents wishing to participate until last month. After video interviews and operator meetings, five urban households totaling eight people were finally selected.
At the orientation ceremony, village residents and participating urban residents had time to introduce themselves and were briefed on the programs they will experience over the two months.
This year's program will be operated at Dalbit Training Center in Badeuri Village, Danjang-myeon, which is equipped with experiential lodging facilities.
