Mokpo National Maritime University Hosts the 2021 1st Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional University Presidents' Council Meeting
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Park Sung-hyun) announced on the 11th that it will hold the "2021 1st Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional University Presidents' Council" at 11 a.m. on the 13th in the Arirang Hall on the 10th floor of the Mokpo Sinan Beach Hotel.
The Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional University Presidents' Council is composed of presidents from 21 universities in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region, including Kwangshin University, Gwangju Catholic University, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Gwangju National University of Education, Gwangju University, Gwangju Women's University, Nambu University, Dongshin University, Mokpo Catholic University, Mokpo National University, Mokpo National Maritime University, Sehan University, Songwon University, Suncheon University, Youngsan Theological University, Chonnam National University, Chosun University, Chodang University, Hanlyo University, Honam University, and Honam Theological University.
Fifteen university presidents and the secretary-general of the University Education Council are expected to attend this meeting.

At the 1st meeting, discussions will be held on establishing a cooperation system between the region and universities, improving the mandatory hiring system for local talents in public institutions, proposing integrated university evaluations to the Ministry of Education, preparing cooperation plans for the regional innovation platform project, and signing a business agreement for operating the Gwangju-Jeonnam university student rural workforce support group.
