Hampyeong-gun 'Job Thoughts School Going to the Village' Village Lifelong Learning Center Opens
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeollanam-do Hampyeong-gun announced on the 11th that following the opening of the lifelong education program "Job Saenggak School" through the remodeling of the county governor's residence in March, the "Village-bound Job Saenggak School" Hampyeong-gun Village Lifelong Learning Center was launched on the 10th.
The Hampyeong-gun Village Lifelong Learning Center was initiated to overcome the limitations of lifelong education, which was originally concentrated in Hampyeong-eup and mainly operated on weekdays, by promoting regional dispersion, expanding educational opportunities, and satisfying the learning desires of residents in underserved areas.
The county designated four regional village lifelong learning centers in Hampyeong, Singwang, Daedong, and Haebo areas, operating four courses with a total of 40 students (10 students per course) at the village lifelong learning centers.
The curriculum includes regional courses such as sewing machine play in the Hampyeong area, understanding tea (cha) culture in the Singwang area, making everyday pottery in the Daedong area, and beginner writing "Sseobom" in the Haebo area.
The education period runs from the first class of beginner writing "Sseobom," which started earliest on the 10th in the Haebo area, and continues until August, with eight sessions (three hours each) conducted according to the schedule of each region.
In particular, to provide more lifelong education participation opportunities for residents such as office workers who previously found it difficult to join lifelong learning, the Singwang area program is held on weekends, and the Haebo area program is operated as a weekday evening program.
The county plans to continue discovering and operating professional and diverse lifelong learning programs, including weekend and evening programs, to revitalize lifelong learning.
