Gwangju City Moves Comprehensive Construction Headquarters to Former Health and Environment Research Institute Site
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan City General Construction Headquarters announced on the 11th that it has completed the relocation of its office from the 12th-13th floors of City Hall to the Hwajeong-dong building (former Health and Environment Research Institute) and began full-scale operations from the 10th.
At the newly relocated building, 3 departments and 9 divisions with over 110 personnel will focus on promoting urban infrastructure such as roads, sewage and rivers, public buildings, and road management projects for the convenience of citizens' daily lives, while overseeing emergency pothole repairs and winter snow removal operations.
In particular, to repair potholes that cause inconvenience to citizens' passage and driver safety accidents, four temporary workers have been newly recruited, and the currently operating pothole patrol and emergency repair teams will be expanded to four teams with 16 members to continuously maintain the roads.
Additionally, the method for restricted vehicle operation permits will be processed online via fax and other means to minimize visitors to the building and enhance convenience for civil complaints.
