Military personnel aged 30 and over to complete first COVID-19 vaccine dose this week
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] First-dose COVID-19 vaccinations for soldiers aged 30 and above are expected to be completed this week.
According to the Ministry of National Defense on the 11th, 105,896 soldiers aged 30 and above who agreed to vaccination (approximately 114,000) have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which requires two doses, accounting for 92.8% of those who consented as of the previous day.
Based on the total number of soldiers aged 30 and above, including those who did not consent, approximately 132,000, the vaccination rate stands at 79.9%.
The Ministry of National Defense plans to complete the first dose for the remaining personnel this week and begin the second dose around July.
