As face-to-face activities decrease and consumer trends shift toward nature-friendly leisure activities, marine leisure sports that can be enjoyed outdoors are gaining popularity as experiential sports in the COVID-19 era.
Reflecting this trend, Busan City plans to introduce a variety of marine leisure sports experience programs.
Beach Nordic walking and sunset Pilates, which are already popular, will invite citizens to participate.
Additionally, specialized marine leisure sports experience programs centered around major beaches and rivers will be introduced to allow people to experience physical and mental health and healing in nature.
From survival swimming to surfing, a diverse range of experience categories will be offered, benefiting approximately 17,000 citizens by the end of the year.
The main programs include ▲Songdo Beach (survival swimming, skin diving, kayaking) ▲Dadaepo Beach (Nordic walking, Pilates, kiteboarding, paddleboarding) ▲Songjeong Beach (Nordic walking, surfing) ▲Haeundae Beach and Yacht Stadium (Nordic walking, yachting) ▲Nakdong River (canoeing, kayaking, rowing) ▲Suyeong River (kayaking, dragon boating), etc. Citizens interested can inquire with the implementing organizations for each program.
