India's Daily New COVID-19 Cases Drop Below 400,000 After Five Days
Daily Death Toll Falls to the 3,000s Range
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] In India, where the spread of COVID-19 is intense, the number of new confirmed cases has dropped to the 300,000 range for the first time in five days.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India on the 10th, the daily new confirmed cases as of the morning were recorded at 366,161.
The number of new confirmed cases in India, which surpassed 400,000 for the first time in the world on the 1st and continued to increase, showed a decline on this day. From the 6th to the previous day, the number remained in the 400,000 range for four consecutive days before dropping to the 300,000 range on this day.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases stands at 22,662,575, ranking second in the world after the United States.
The daily new death toll also fell to the 3,000 range at 3,754. The cumulative death toll was recorded at 246,146.
