Ship Capsizes 8km Offshore from Susa-n Port, Gangwon…1 Dead, 2 Rescued
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] On the morning of the 9th, vessel A (3t) capsized about 8 km east of Susan Port, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province.
Sokcho Coast Guard rescued all three crew members on board, but one of them was unconscious and was transported to the hospital, where they passed away.
According to the Coast Guard, at around 10:51 a.m. that day, they received a report through surveillance equipment estimating that a fishing boat had capsized, and dispatched patrol vessels, rescue teams, and an aviation unit.
