India Sets New World Record Again for Daily COVID-19 Cases and Deaths
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] India recorded the highest number of new COVID-19 cases and deaths worldwide on the 6th.
The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced that as of the morning of that day, the daily new confirmed cases totaled 412,262.
India's daily new confirmed cases had surpassed 400,000 worldwide for the first time on the 1st, then the spread slowed down, but on this day, it broke the previous record again.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases rose to 21,077,410, ranking second in the world after the United States.
The number of deaths also reached 3,980 on this day, exceeding the previous highest record. The cumulative death toll stands at 230,168.
