Gwangju Buk-gu, Project to Improve Working Conditions for Non-Regular Workers in Apartment Complexes 추진
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 6th that it will promote the ‘2021 Improvement Project for the Working Environment of Non-Regular Workers in Apartment Complexes’ to improve the working conditions of employees such as security guards and cleaners working in apartment complexes.
The project targets apartment complexes with a dedicated area of 85㎡ or less, built over 20 years ago (completed before December 31, 2000) after the usage inspection (excluding rental and company apartments), supporting 80% of the project cost per complex, up to a maximum of 16 million KRW.
The support includes construction to relocate underground break rooms to above ground (support not available for illegal expansions of basements), expansion and repair of break rooms, installation of heating and cooling systems, and ventilation facilities.
The selection of target complexes will be finalized for 11 to 12 complexes within this month based on selection criteria such as the aging condition of facilities, complex size, and the possibility of self-payment.
In particular, complexes that are over 30 years old or have underground break rooms being relocated to above ground, where working conditions are poor, will be given priority.
