[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] On the 6th, Yoon Young-seok, a three-term member of the People Power Party representing Yangsan Gap, Gyeongnam, officially declared his candidacy for party leader, describing himself as "a pioneer of innovation and integration for regime change."
Yoon held a press conference at the National Assembly that morning and said, "For regime change next year and successful governance after regime change, the party leader must be someone with leadership capable of creating a new vision and alternatives for our party."
He explained, "With my diverse experience in government ministries, three-term career, and pragmatic politics focused on problem-solving, I am the most suitable candidate for the People Power Party leader."
Yoon emphasized that the party needs a complete transformation and great innovation for regime change.
