According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 7 a.m., rain began falling from the west coast including Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and as the rain cloud band moves eastward, rain will fall over the entire metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, and the west coast of Chungnam during the commuting hours. From noon, rain will expand to inland Chungnam, Jeolla region, and Jeju Island. Most of the rain will stop by early dawn tomorrow.
In the mountainous areas of Jeju, rainfall may exceed 250mm. Expected precipitation amounts are ▲Jeju Island mountains 100~200mm ▲Northern Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeongseo, southern coast, near Jirisan, Jeju Island 30~80mm ▲Metropolitan area, central and southern Gangwon Yeongseo, West Sea 5 Islands 20~60mm ▲Chungcheong, Jeolla, Gyeongsang regions, northern coastal areas of Jeju 10~40mm.
On the 4th, the whole country will be mostly cloudy, and on Children's Day, the 5th, it will gradually clear up from the morning. Morning temperatures on the 4th are around 10 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs forecasted between 17 and 23 degrees. On the 5th, morning temperatures are expected to be 9~17 degrees, with daytime highs of 16~24 degrees. On the 6th, morning temperatures will drop by about 3~7 degrees compared to the previous day, expected to be 4~13 degrees. Due to the rain, fine dust levels on the 4th are expected to be 'Good' across all regions, and on the 5th, 'Moderate' across all regions.
Between the night of the 4th and early dawn of the 5th, in the central region, southern coast, and Jeju Island, the rain cloud band will develop strongly, accompanied by gusty winds, thunder, and lightning in some areas. From today afternoon, strong winds of 10~16 m/s are expected along the Jeolla coast and Jeju Island, and from night, along Gangwon Yeongdong, Gyeongsang coastal areas, and northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, with the possibility of strong wind warnings being issued. Caution is advised for safety accidents at facilities such as screening clinics, construction sites, and vinyl greenhouses.
