Gangnam-gu to Provide 500,000 KRW Employment Incentive to 8,870 Unemployed Youth
Online Application for Ages 19-34 on Seoul Youth Portal Until June 30... Mobile Gangnam Love Gift Certificates Provided
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) has decided to provide employment incentives of 500,000 KRW per person to 8,870 unemployed youths in the area to support their livelihood stability, and will accept applications for two months from the 3rd to June 30th.
The support targets are unemployed youths aged 19 to 34 residing in Gangnam-gu who have graduated from their final school within the last two years.
Those currently receiving unemployment benefits or who participated in the 2020 Youth Job Seeking Activity Support Fund or the 2021 National Employment Support System (Type 1) are excluded.
Applications can be submitted online through the Seoul Youth Portal.
The support funds will be distributed sequentially from early June as mobile Gangnam Love Gift Certificates after screening.

Meanwhile, the district plans to carry out the Youth Safety Job Project in the first half of this year and continues efforts to support youth employment, such as recruiting 200 ‘Youth Part-timers’ aged 18 to 39 last month to assist with COVID-19 response tasks including fever checks at multi-use facilities and support at vaccination centers.
