Kolon Global Accelerates Development of Construction Big Data Technology Through Collaboration with Startups

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Tae-min Ryu] Kolon Global announced on the 3rd that it has signed a business agreement with construction site big data solution startup Conwors to utilize 'Digital Twin Integrated Construction Site Data Platform Technology.' The purpose is to combine Kolon Global's smart construction technology with Conwors' 3D big data platform technology to implement data solutions optimized for construction sites.
According to the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop future-oriented construction big data solution technology by automatically collecting 3D big data of construction sites using Boston Dynamics' quadruped robot and linking various data such as 3D design (BIM), Internet of Things (IoT), 360-degree photos, and construction material quantities. Kolon Global expects this to enhance safety, improve quality, increase productivity at construction sites, and lead the future of the construction industry.
Yoon Chang-woon, CEO of Kolon Global, said, "We aim to lead construction productivity improvement and smart city development using smart construction technology. To this end, we will continue efforts to discover startups with technological capabilities like Conwors and consider strategic investments to achieve mutual growth."
