Korea Radio Promotion Association to Host 'Domestic OTT Response Strategy Forum' on the 6th
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The Korea Communications Agency (KCA) announced on the 3rd that it will hold the "Broadcast Media Legal System Forum" on the 6th at Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam, in collaboration with Korea University Technology Law and Policy Center, focusing on online video service (OTT) content strategies.
This forum will feature presentations and discussions on major industry issues with experts from academia, industry, and research, under the theme of legal systems and regulatory rationalization for the development of the ICT industry.
Although OTT usage is spreading across all age groups, the domestic OTT industry has not grown accordingly, increasing the need for legal and policy support. The forum will examine content strategies of domestic and international OTT platforms, the response status of domestic operators, and prospects for the domestic OTT market.
