Recruiting Startups with Innovative Technologies to Solve Social Issues in Jeju Region
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation announced on the 3rd that it is recruiting the first batch of startups for the group's innovation growth platform, 'Shinhan Square Bridge Jeju,' until the 31st of this month.
Shinhan Financial operates Shinhan Square Bridges nationwide, including Seoul, Incheon, and Daejeon, centered on the 'Triple K Project,' a mid- to long-term innovation finance platform construction project of the group.
This Shinhan Square Bridge Jeju was established to solve social issues related to the environment, resources, and agriculture through startups, and to enhance social value such as revitalizing the Jeju region's economy.
The recruitment fields for the first batch of Shinhan Square Bridge Jeju startups include ▲waste collection and renewable energy ▲arts, culture, and food ingredients ▲agritech (agriculture + technology), and plans to select various startups suited to the characteristics of the Jeju region.
In particular, Shinhan Financial newly introduced an incentive system based on performance and goal achievement to motivate the business promotion of Shinhan Square Bridge Jeju.
The business operation performance of the first batch of Shinhan Square Bridge Jeju startups will be measured using the 'Shinhan Social Value Measurement Model,' and a total of 800 million KRW in business support funds will be distributed differentially to each company.
Additionally, selected startups will be provided with various benefits such as office space and welfare facility use, investment, legal, patent, and HR consulting.
