The Changwon District Court Criminal Support Division 3-3 (Judge Kim Ki-pung) announced on the 2nd that A (44), who was tried on charges including fraud, was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, the same as the original sentence.
A, a member of the voice phishing organization, played the role of a collector who directly received money from victims and transferred it to accounts.
During July last year, A received approximately 67 million won in cash from four victims using bait such as low-interest loans and delivered it to the organization.

The court stated, "Considering the social harm and seriousness of voice phishing crimes, the culpability is heavy," and added, "No compensation for the victims has been made, and no new circumstances warranting consideration in sentencing have appeared since the original judgment was announced."
