Students Who Discontinue Studies Can Also Receive School Life Records Online
Issuance Available via NICE HomeEdu Civil Service
Pilot Service Starts from the 3rd
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Students who have discontinued their studies due to dropout, expulsion, or deferment will be able to obtain their school records online through the Education Administrative Information System (NEIS).
On the 2nd, the Ministry of Education announced that it has improved the system to allow students who have discontinued their studies to issue their school records online via the NEIS website's HomeEdu civil service, and will start a pilot service from the 3rd.
Until now, students who discontinued their studies had to visit their former school or the administrative welfare center in person to obtain their school records when needed for employment or studying abroad.
By selecting the relevant education office and online issuance service within the 'HomeEdu civil service' operated by the Korea Education and Research Information Service on NEIS, entering their name and resident registration number, and logging in with a joint certificate, students can immediately obtain their school records.
