Damyang-gun Makes Filing 'Individual Local Income Tax and Comprehensive Income Tax' Easy with Electronic Reporting

[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] From the 1st to the 31st of next month, comprehensive income tax and individual local income tax must be filed and paid.
According to Damyang County on the 30th, due to the enforcement of the revised local income tax law, national income tax and local individual income tax must be reported and paid separately to the respective heads of institutions.
To prevent infections related to COVID-19, starting this year, the county will send guidance messages via SMS and KakaoPay to all-fill-in tax return filers (F, G, Q, R) and housing rental business operators with income under 20 million KRW (V) to encourage non-face-to-face electronic filing.
Senior citizens aged 65 or older and persons with disabilities fall under the all-fill-in tax return category and other simple expense rate taxpayers (single income under type E) and can receive filing assistance at the individual local income tax help desk.
In this regard, the county will operate a help desk at the Local Tax Computer Room in the Future Growth Building of Damyang County Office from May 1 to May 31.
Additionally, to facilitate taxpayers, payment slips for individual local income tax (payment alone is recognized as filing) will be sent in May to all-fill-in tax return filers along with the National Tax Service’s preliminary notice for comprehensive income tax.
Although filing must be completed by May 31, considering the initial stage of local government filing implementation, late or amended filings made by June 30 will be exempt from non-filing penalties.
