View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Agricultural Technology Center of Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 29th that it is recruiting trainees for the '2021 Agri-food Processing Startup Academy.'
The training targets 20 people including local farmers, prospective farmers in their 20s, or entrepreneurs. The training will be held every Wednesday from May 26 to July 28 at the Agricultural Product Processing Support Center's training room, consisting of a total of 10 sessions and 40 hours.
The training covers overall topics necessary for food processing such as processing business promotion strategies, packaging design, understanding HACCP, and practical use of processing equipment for beverages, jams, extracts, and bakery products.
A certificate of completion will be issued to those who complete more than 70% of the course. Graduates can join the Geochang Farmers Processing Cooperative and produce desired processed products at the Agricultural Product Processing Support Center.

Since 2014, the county Agricultural Technology Center has produced 414 graduates over 13 sessions until last year, enhancing the processing startup capabilities of farmers and supporting off-farm income activities, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of local agricultural product processing technology and assisting agri-food processing startups.
