Two Myanmar Air Force Bases Attacked by Unknown Assailants
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Two Myanmar air force bases were attacked by unidentified forces.
Major foreign media outlets reported on the 29th, citing local sources, that "bomb attacks occurred at two air force bases located in central Myanmar's Magway and Meiktila."
The first attack took place in the morning near the air force base in downtown Magway. After three bomb attacks occurred there, five rockets were fired at Meiktila Air Force Base, one of Myanmar's main air force bases.

The attacks happened less than a day after the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes on bases of ethnic armed groups. The previous day, the military launched large-scale airstrikes in retaliation for ethnic armed groups attacking military bases near the Thailand border.
