Man Investigated for Attempting to Set Fire to Scare His Wife
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] The Masan Eastern Police Station in Gyeongnam announced on the 27th that they are investigating a husband, Mr. A (in his 40s), on suspicion of attempting to set fire to his home during a marital dispute (attempted arson of a dwelling).
Mr. A is suspected of lighting trash inside his apartment in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon City, with a lighter at around 1:17 a.m. while having a fight with his wife.
The fire was extinguished by Mr. A’s wife and the police themselves, preventing it from spreading to the wallpaper or flooring.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated, "I only intended to scare my wife, not to set the house on fire."
