Gangbuk-gu, 500,000 Won Gangbuk Love Gift Certificate per Person for Youth Employment Incentive
Applications Open via Seoul Youth Portal for 4,800 Unemployed Youth Aged 19-34 Within 2 Years of Graduation
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) will provide employment incentives to 4,800 unemployed youths who are experiencing difficulties due to the prolonged employment crisis caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The eligible applicants are youths aged 19 to 34 (born between 1986 and 2002) who have had their address in Gangbuk-gu prior to the announcement date and must have graduated from their final school within the last two years (2019?2021).
Applicants must either not be enrolled in employment insurance or, if enrolled, must be short-term workers working 26 hours or less per week or for 3 months or less. However, those currently receiving or eligible for unemployment benefits, those who have already participated in the 2020 Youth Job-Seeking Activity Support Fund or the 2021 National Employment Support System (Type 1), and those registered as business owners are excluded.
Those wishing to apply should register on the Seoul Youth Portal and submit their application online by July 31. When applying, applicants must scan and submit required documents such as a resident registration certificate or abstract and employment insurance qualification history.
The support fund is 500,000 KRW per person and will be paid in Gangbuk Love Gift Certificates within one month after application.
