Yogiyo Launches 'Banryeonamu Campaign' for New Employees to Promote Eco-Friendly Delivery Culture
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Delivery Hero (DH) Korea, the operator of the delivery application Yogiyo, announced on the 27th that it will conduct the 'Companion Tree Sharing Campaign' for new employees to raise awareness of environmental protection.
DH Korea will distribute companion trees planted in 'Sseum flowerpots' made by the social enterprise 'Tree Planet,' which recycles waste plastic and scraps of disposable mask fabric, to a total of 500 new employees. For each companion tree flowerpot distributed, one tree will be planted to regenerate forests in the Gangwon-do region.
DH Korea's campaign is part of efforts to take the lead in practicing environmental protection and creating a natural environment for future generations. The company plans to educate new employees on the importance of environmental protection and eco-friendly activities. It is expected that the campaign will reduce carbon emissions by 5,400 kg annually.
Park Ji-hye, head of DH Korea's Communications Office, said, "We empathize with environmental issues including plastic waste and are considering various ways to start practicing feasible actions." She added, "We will carry out diverse activities to spread an eco-friendly delivery culture."
