Hwacheon-gun Offers 'Half-Price Discount' on Tourist Facility Fees for Border Area Residents

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon Province, is introducing a discount service for residents of Gangwon Province and cities and counties bordering Gyeonggi Province who use local tourist facilities in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era.
Hwacheon-gun announced on the 26th, "Following the resolution of the Border Area Mayors and Governors Council on the 'Mutual Discount on Usage Fees for Cultural and Tourist Facilities in Border Area Cities and Counties,' we have requested the relevant departments at the county office to reflect this in the ordinance."
The facilities eligible for the discount in Hwacheon-gun are the Sancheoneo Coffee Museum, Hwacheon Jo Gyeong-cheol Observatory, and the Wild Herb Village.
Once the ordinance is established, residents of nine border areas in Gyeonggi and Gangwon will be able to use the facilities at up to half price, applying the same discount rate as Hwacheon residents.
