Gimcheon-si Recruiting Cultural Tourism Interpreters as 'Tourism Promotion Frontline'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gimcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 26th that it will recruit 10 new trainees for cultural tourism interpreters until the 10th of next month.
Currently, there are 6 cultural tourism interpreters active in Gimcheon City. Gimcheon City explained that this new recruitment is due to the increased demand for tourism interpretation following the expansion of local tourist attractions such as Buhang Dam, Samyeongdaesa Park, Gammun-guk Iyagi Nara, and the Chupungnyeong tourism resource development project.
Applicants must be citizens of Gimcheon City with basic knowledge of Gimcheon’s history, culture, and tourism. Those interested can apply by referring to the recruitment guidelines on the city’s website from the 3rd to the 10th of next month.
Selected candidates, after passing document screening and interviews, can become cultural tourism interpreters for Gimcheon City upon completing the new training (total 100 hours) organized by Gyeongbuk Province and finishing a 3-month practical internship.
