26th Dobong Residents' Day Commemoration Event Held Online... Five Awarded Including Social Service Resident Grand Prize

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dong-jin Lee) will hold the “26th Dobong Residents' Day” commemorative event at 4 p.m. on May 1.
This year’s “Dobong Residents' Day” commemorative event will limit on-site attendance to about 50 people, including Dobong residents awardees and key guests, to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The event will be broadcast live in real time through Dobong-gu’s official YouTube channel, “Dobongbong TV.”
The Dobong Residents Award will be presented to five individuals who have served as role models for residents by contributing to the development of the district through exceptional passion and effort in various fields such as community development, social service, cultural and sports promotion, and public morals.
The event will feature a variety of celebratory performances by local artists, including tap dance, popera, classical music and ballet, and musicals, along with a “Dobong-gu Support Video” to comfort residents weary from COVID-19.
Additionally, to ease the disappointment of those unable to attend in person, pre-event online activities that residents can participate in have been prepared on the Dobong-gu blog.
Photo sharing events such as “Precious Moments with Dobong-gu” and the “Mutual Comfort Challenge!” will be held from April 21 to April 28.
Dobong Residents' Day was established in 1994 to foster a sense of community and promote harmony and unity among residents. The district holds commemorative events annually around May 1.
