First, he said, "I feel a heavy responsibility for the violence incident that occurred in the Seodang in Cheonghak-dong, Hadong, and we will support the students' quick recovery and prevent such incidents from recurring through comprehensive measures."
He then announced measures for student safety, including ▲establishing a management system through a permanent joint council ▲deploying safety guards during vulnerable hours ▲supporting programs for student recovery ▲providing personnel support necessary for recovery.
The management system through the council involves the Office of Education, police, and county office agreeing to conduct regular inspections, and the Seodangs also promised to comply with the agreement items presented by the office. Related laws will be revised and operated accordingly.
Safety guards will be deployed during vulnerable management hours (midnight to 6 a.m.) to strengthen patrols, and in-depth interviews with experts will also be additionally implemented.
For student recovery, an 'Emergency Psychological Support TF' will be formed to restore self-esteem and relationships, and a mentoring and psychological/emotional support system will be established.
To support teacher and personnel deployment for student recovery, health, counseling, and administrative teachers will be supported, and stable response capabilities will be developed through the formation of village education communities.
