In this context, Lee Jae-gap, Minister of Employment and Labor, visited a university site.
On the 22nd at 2 p.m., Minister Lee visited the Gachon University University Job Plus Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. The visit was to inspect the 'University Job Plus Center' project, which expands the functions of the University Job Center that has been in operation since 2015.
As some universities will end the existing University Job Center project this year, the Ministry of Employment and Labor is promoting the expanded and reorganized Plus Center project. Specifically, the service target is expanded from enrolled students to unemployed graduates within two years after graduation, and dedicated employment support personnel are assigned to improve the quality of services.
Gachon University has participated since the pilot project of the center in 2015 and is also carrying out the Plus Center project this year. They established 61 career development roadmaps based on majors to provide systematic career guidance from lower grades. They operated employment programs based on a customized pool of excellent mid-sized and small enterprises called 'G-Class 300'.
Lee Gil-yeo, President of Gachon University, said, "This year, we will increase the matching rate by additionally hiring job managers and building a data-based 'Gachon Unique Talent Matching System.' We will not only provide youth-specialized career, employment, adaptation, and psychological counseling but also successfully carry out the Plus Center project in connection with the local community."
