Gwanak-gu Conducts Online Youth Employment Support Program
Composed of practical lectures on personal job competencies, interview preparation speeches, and application form writing
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will start an online job cafe employment support program at the 'Youth Space Ieum' beginning on the 27th.
The 'Job Cafe Employment Support Program' is a project designed to support young people’s stable entry into society by providing youth-specialized spaces and operating employment programs from professional educational institutions, allowing the youth to receive efficient employment support services based at private job cafes.
The support program includes ▲post-COVID-19 employment strategies ▲analysis and mentoring of high-demand jobs within the 4th industrial revolution ▲employment competency enhancement consulting, aiming to support job preparation for promising industries after COVID-19 and strengthen the employment capabilities of young job seekers.
This training course will be held twice a month on the last Tuesday and Thursday from April to November, totaling 20 sessions, with plans to operate four times a month in May and June when job-seeking demand is concentrated.
Each session lasts two hours and, following last year’s practice, will be conducted as non-face-to-face lectures using real-time online lecture programs (Zoom) to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
A Gwanak-gu official stated, “Depending on the future trend of COVID-19 spread, we plan to flexibly apply both online and offline methods for operation.”
The April program includes ‘Understanding Sales Jobs: Digital Sales & MD’ on the 27th and ‘Resume & Self-Introduction Writing through Customized Competency Analysis: Large Corporation Edition’ on the 29th, with eight participants allowed per session.
Youth who wish to participate can apply up to two days in advance through the Seoul City 'Job Portal' or the Gwanak-gu Job Cafe program application link and participate according to the guidance provided one day before the program.
The monthly program schedule and educational content can be checked 1?2 weeks before the training on the district office website (News & Notices → Gwanak News).
For more details, inquiries can be made to Rookies Campus or the Youth Policy Division of Gwanak-gu Office.
Meanwhile, through Youth Space Ieum (Bongcheon-ro 62-gil 5, 4th floor), designated as a Seoul City Job Cafe, the district provides various customized services for youth, including employment and career counseling, study room rentals, and health coaching.
