View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) is undergoing a settlement audit by the 28th of this month to ensure soundness and transparency regarding the budget executed throughout the year 2020.
In this settlement audit, the Settlement Audit Committee, composed of district council members, tax accountants, and others, will conduct an inspection of overall financial management, including compliance with relevant laws, appropriateness of the financial scale, and efficiency of financial operations.
In particular, on the 20th, to conduct a thorough inspection of major projects, the settlement audit committee members visited Achasan to examine the project sites.
The committee members visited sites including the construction site of the Hongryeonbong Fortress relic exhibition hall currently underway around Achasan, the Achasan Community Cultural Healing Plaza redevelopment site, the barrier-free forest trail creation site, and the forest library construction site to check the progress of these projects.
They also listened to the difficulties faced by personnel at each project site and held discussions on future facility construction and operational plans, conducting on-site, practical inspection activities.
Kim Mi-young, the chief representative of the settlement audit committee, stated, “During the remaining audit period, we will meticulously examine whether the budget was executed as originally planned, present review opinions including issues and improvement measures, and aim to assist in the operation of the district administration.”
Mayor Kim Seon-gap said, “We have thoroughly prepared to ensure the smooth progress of the settlement audit that reviews the district’s financial management of last year,” adding, “Through this settlement audit, we will proactively expand successful outcomes and improve and supplement any identified issues to implement transparent administration that residents can trust.”

Meanwhile, based on the results of the settlement audit, the district will request approval of the 2020 fiscal year settlement plan from the Gwangjin District Council at least 10 days before the start of the 1st regular session, with final approval expected in June.
