[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Korea Road Traffic Authority (Chairman Lee Jumin) and Kia (CEO Choi Jun-young) announced on the 20th that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to create a safe traffic environment and promote a culture of traffic safety within the company.
This agreement was established to realize the public value of "creating a safe and happy world for the people from traffic accidents" by establishing a mutual cooperation and support system, and further spreading and settling a safe traffic culture.
Through this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate to improve traffic safety by addressing road environment risk factors across all Kia business sites, and will conduct public campaigns and traffic safety promotions through broadcasting media to establish a culture of traffic safety among the public.
The Authority will provide specialized personnel for road safety diagnosis and cooperate in checking traffic safety status and consulting. Last month, the Authority conducted facility environment diagnoses including analysis of road risk factors and installation of traffic safety facilities at major business sites such as Autoland Gwangmyeong, Hwaseong, and Gwangju.
