Honam University Department of Electrical Engineering Conducts Specialized Smart Grid Education
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Department of Electrical Engineering at Honam University recently announced on the 19th that it conducted a specialized Smart Grid (SG) education program under the Regional Innovation Platform Project (RIP) in collaboration with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and Korea Power Exchange at the Sangha-gwan Small Auditorium.
The training was attended by representatives from energy-related companies in the Gwangju area and electrical engineering students, who shared information on corporate-linked projects and SG-related initiatives to be carried out by KEPCO and the Power Exchange in the future.
Yang Chung-ryeol, Deputy General Manager of KEPCO’s Energy Transition Division EMS Business Department, who participated as a special lecturer, stated, “We will actively discover projects that will greatly benefit companies located in Gwangju and Jeonnam and become KEPCO that works together with the local community,” adding, “We will also maintain an active industry-academia-research cooperation relationship with Honam University’s LINC+ Project Group.”
