Gokseong-gun, COVID-19 Vaccination Progressing Smoothly for Seniors Aged 75 and Older
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) announced on the 19th that it is smoothly conducting Pfizer vaccine vaccinations for seniors aged 75 and older, as well as residents and workers in elderly facilities.
This vaccination targets 4,456 individuals who agreed to be vaccinated out of 5,356 people born before December 31, 1946, residing in Gokseong-gun, and is being carried out at the vaccination center set up in the Gokseong-eup Culture and Sports Center.
Vaccinations began on the 15th for the Gokseong-eup area, and by the 16th, 204 people had completed vaccination, with no significant adverse reactions reported.
The county operates 3 to 4 shuttle buses daily for each village to ensure quick and safe transportation of residents, has deployed about 70 dedicated personnel, and is making every effort for smooth vaccination by promoting wearing name tags, filling out pre-screening questionnaires, and wearing short sleeves.
