[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Yangsan Wongsang Hoe Festival Promotion Committee in Yangsan, Gyeongnam announced on the 19th that it has decided to cancel the 'Yangsan Wongsang Hoe Festival' to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Held every May, the Yangsan Wongsang Hoe Festival is a representative spring festival of Yangsan that offers various cultural and artistic performances and citizen participation events, aiming to promote local culture, regional harmony, and economic revitalization.
The Promotion Committee decided to cancel the festival this year as well, considering the serious situation with concerns about the 4th wave of the pandemic, following last year's cancellation.
