[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) successfully completed the 2021 Seongbuk Innovation Education Promotion Team online orientation at 4 p.m. on the 14th.
The Seongbuk Innovation Education project is an initiative to realize a village education community for the happy growth of children and adolescents in Seongbuk-gu. Every year, a promotion team is recruited to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of the project.
The 2021 Seongbuk Innovation Education Promotion Team was formed by recruiting 118 diverse educational stakeholders including students, parents, teachers, and local residents from the region through an open call from March 1 to March 26. The team consists of nine project-specific promotion teams, each with about 15 members.
This orientation was conducted via a live broadcast on the YouTube channel ‘Seongbuk Innovation Education Channel.’ In accordance with the governance principle of civil-academic-government cooperation, one representative each from the promotion team members, Seongbuk Gangbuk Office of Education supervisors, and Seongbuk-gu Office officials attended, and filming was conducted while complying with quarantine guidelines.
The orientation proceeded in the order of congratulatory remarks to the promotion team, project introduction, roles of the promotion team and Q&A, and guidance on video conferencing methods.
Especially this year, to help first-time promotion team members easily understand the innovation education project, an educational video in animation format was shown, and a Q&A session was held where participants could ask and answer questions in real time via chat and comments.
Starting with this orientation, the Seongbuk Innovation Education project plans to hold full-scale meetings by promotion teams from mid-April and promote various projects connecting the village and schools.
