[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Daegu City announced on the 18th that starting from the 19th, it will implement the use of the 'Rapid Test Card' to allow individuals with COVID-19 symptoms visiting medical institutions and pharmacies to receive diagnostic tests quickly.
According to COVID-19 confirmed case data in the Daegu area over the past two weeks (2nd to 15th), patients visited an average of 1.4 medical institutions before getting tested, with some visiting up to 4 institutions.
Accordingly, Daegu City, in cooperation with the Daegu Medical Association and Daegu Pharmaceutical Association, will issue a 'COVID-19 Rapid Test Card' to symptomatic individuals visiting medical institutions or pharmacies, enabling them to receive rapid testing at public health centers within 24 hours.
Daegu City expects this measure to facilitate early detection of COVID-19 infections and prevent community spread.
