Gyeongju City Reports Four New COVID-19 Cases Daily Over the Past Three Days
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Three employees of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP) headquarters and Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, have been infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), putting the power plant operations on alert.
According to Gyeongju City and KHNP on the 16th, following the confirmation of one headquarters employee testing positive for COVID-19 the previous day, another employee working on the same floor tested positive on the 16th. Additionally, one Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant employee also tested positive after visiting the health center's screening clinic on the 16th.
Accordingly, KHNP has instructed all 1,600 headquarters employees and all Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant staff, except for essential personnel, to stay at home and undergo sequential specimen testing.
