Seoul City Provides 10 Billion KRW Support to 5,000 Tourism Small Businesses
Online Registration on Seoul Tourism Foundation Website for 3 Weeks Starting from the 26th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Since the early spread of COVID-19, Seoul City, which has been supporting the tourism and MICE industries in overcoming the COVID-19 crisis, is now providing the largest-scale 'Seoul Tourism Recovery Leap Fund' to the greatest number of businesses.
On the 18th, Seoul City announced that through the fifth project, the 'Seoul Tourism Recovery Leap Fund,' it will support 5,000 small business owners in the tourism and MICE sectors located in Seoul with 2 million KRW per business, totaling 10 billion KRW.
Applications for the support fund will be accepted online from 10 a.m. on the 26th until 6 p.m. on May 14th via a dedicated webpage on the Seoul Tourism Foundation website (www.sto.or.kr), and the funds will be disbursed sequentially from May 10th after verifying eligibility.

Joo Yong-tae, Director of the Seoul Tourism and Sports Bureau, said, "As COVID-19 vaccinations are being administered worldwide, discussions on vaccine passports and travel bubbles are taking place, raising hopeful expectations for the resumption of tourism," adding, "We hope this support will, even if slightly, alleviate the difficulties faced by small business owners in the tourism and MICE sectors."
