Culture Ministry Holds 3rd Meeting of 'Broadcasting Video Leaders Forum' Today
On the 16th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold the 3rd meeting of the 'Broadcasting and Video Leaders Forum' with experts from academia and industry in the broadcasting and video content field. This forum is a platform where experts from industry, academia, and research discuss major industry issues every month under the theme of 'Broadcasting and Video Industry Ecosystem After COVID-19.'
This month, the forum will analyze changes in the revenue structure and investment market of video content such as movies and dramas triggered by the growth of Over-The-Top (OTT) services. Opinions on the current status of policy financing and support directions in the content sector will also be shared. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Shin Kang-young, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Timewise Investment and a forum member. The discussion will include Kim Guk-jin, Director of the Media Future Research Institute, and Lee Junho, Professor of Business Administration at Hoseo University.

A Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism official stated, "We are promoting the creation of a content fund worth 215 billion KRW to ensure the continuous growth of the video content industry," adding, "We will actively communicate with academia and industry to develop policies necessary for the rapidly changing video content industry landscape."
