[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) held a ‘Senior Public Officials Integrity Pledge Ceremony’ on the 12th at the district office planning situation room to enhance administrative trust and integrity amid the LH illegal speculation scandal spreading distrust in the public service community.
On this day, 11 people including the mayor, deputy mayor, heads of departments, head of the health center, and chairman of the Urban Management Corporation signed the ‘Anti-Corruption Integrity Pledge’ and read aloud its contents while taking the oath.
The district held the pledge ceremony to reaffirm the commitment that ‘the mayor and senior public officials will take the lead in eradicating corruption and creating an honest organizational culture.’
The integrity pledge includes commitments such as ‘prohibiting undue benefits in work, banning acceptance of money and entertainment, and excluding improper external interference to exemplify a fair and honest public service society.’
Participants of the pledge ceremony also received education titled ‘The Leader’s Victory or Defeat is Integrity’ and explored practical measures for ethical leadership and honest organizational management.
Following this event, the district plans to implement a ‘One Department, One Integrity Challenge’ involving all employees.
