[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office is investigating a case in which Yoon Mee-hyang, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, was accused by a civic group of forcing Gil Won-ok, a victim of the Japanese military sexual slavery, to endure overseas schedules despite having fractured ribs.
The Action Alliance for the Restoration of the Rule of Law (Beopse-ryeon) announced on the 14th that "the case in which Representative Yoon was accused of violating the Elderly Welfare Act has been assigned to the Criminal Division 4 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office."
The organization filed a complaint with the Supreme Prosecutors' Office on the 8th, alleging that Yoon, who was the executive representative of the Korean Council for the Women Drafted for Military Sexual Slavery by Japan (Jeongdae-hyeop) in December 2017, knew about Gil's fractured ribs during their trip to Germany but neglected it and forced the schedule to proceed.
