"Receive the Clear Energy, Gaiso~" Miryang-si, Recruiting Participants for One-Month Stay Program
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 14th, Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced that it will carry out the Samso (三소) Project to revitalize tourism in Miryang in celebration of the Year of the Ox 2021.
The Samso Project is an abbreviation of three initiatives: first, ‘Miryang Wa Boso’ ? revitalizing local tourism; second, ‘Mat Jom Boso’ ? promoting food tourism; and third, ‘Sarla Boso’ ? the Miryang one-month living project.
The city will first recruit participants for the ‘Sarla Boso’ project, aimed at making Miryang a city where people want to stay, starting in April.
Anyone aged 19 or older residing outside the Gyeongnam area is eligible to participate. To enhance Miryang’s unique tourism recognition, applicants who are active on personal SNS and can actively promote Miryang tourism will be given preference in the selection process.
Selected participants must plan their own individual free travel and complete the task of promoting Miryang’s cultural contents and tourist resources twice a day. They will receive support for accommodation costs (up to 50,000 KRW per day, 1-2 people per team) and experience fees (between 50,000 and 80,000 KRW per person) for a period ranging from a minimum of 2 nights to a maximum of 29 nights.
For more detailed information, please refer to the city hall website or contact the Miryang Culture and Tourism Research Institute.
