Gokseong-gun, Popular Horticultural Activity Growing Edible Plants Experience at Ttukbang Market
Operation of a Personalized Flowerpot Making Experience Booth
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) has launched a campaign to promote everyday horticultural activities using edible plant cultivation.
At the Ddukbang Market held on the 10th, a hands-on booth themed "Making Horticultural Activities a Daily Habit" was operated. Participants planted three types of lettuce (lettuce, red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce) in pots made from recycled materials and took instant photos at a photo zone.
Additionally, an event was held where herb pots were given away for free. The hands-on booth attracted many participants ranging from children to the elderly.
A representative from the Gokseong Agricultural Technology Center explained the booth's popularity, saying, "Edible plant pots are easy to cultivate and practical for modern people who are interested in plant care but find it difficult to practice."
