Recruitment of Participants for the 48th Chunhyang Gugak Competition of Korea
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Namwon City, Jeonbuk announced on the 13th that it is recruiting participants for the "48th Korea Chunhyang Gugak Competition" hosted by the city and organized by the Chunhyang Festival Committee, as well as audience evaluators for the Pansori Master Division.
The competition will be held in 13 categories across 5 fields, including ▲Pansori (Master Division, General Division, Elementary, Middle, and High School Student Divisions) ▲Dance (General Division, Student Division) ▲Folk Song (General Division, Student Division) ▲Instrumental Wind Music (General Division, Student Division) ▲Instrumental String Music and Byeongchang (General Division, Student Division).
This year’s competition will have preliminary rounds conducted non-face-to-face due to COVID-19 (except the Pansori Master Division, which will be face-to-face), and the finals will be held face-to-face at the An Sook-sun Master’s Journey.
Applications can be downloaded from the Chunhyang Festival website or Namwon City website and submitted by mail, visit, or email by the 30th of this month.
Additionally, 20 audience evaluators for the newly introduced Pansori Master Division will also be recruited this year.

Meanwhile, the Korea Chunhyang Gugak Competition will be held four times on weekends from the 8th to the 16th of next month at the An Sook-sun Master’s Journey and Hampau Sound Experience Center.
