S-OIL Launches Electric Vehicle Charging Service... Expands Complex Stations
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] S-OIL’s directly managed Unjeong Dream Gas Station and Charging Station in Paju has started electric vehicle charging services. With the introduction of electric vehicle (EV) charging services, the Paju Unjeong Dream Gas Station and Charging Station has transformed into a complex energy station capable of supplying gasoline, diesel, LPG, and electricity.
The Unjeong Dream Gas Station and Charging Station installed one dual model (capable of charging two vehicles simultaneously) and one single model for fast charging. The installed chargers are 100kW fast chargers that can charge a 64kWh capacity electric vehicle up to 80% in 30 minutes. They are compatible with all domestic standard DC Combo type electric vehicles, including existing EVs such as the Niro EV and Kona EV, as well as recently released models like the Ioniq 5 and EV6. Additionally, 24-hour charging service, resting spaces during waiting times, and automatic car wash discount services are provided.
An S-OIL official stated, "Starting with the introduction of this charging service, we plan to accumulate know-how in the electric vehicle infrastructure market to prepare for the upcoming electric vehicle era," adding, "We will expand electric vehicle charging services mainly at affiliated gas stations located at key hubs in the future."
S-OIL’s Paju Unjeong Dream Gas Station and Charging Station is a 'future-type complex energy station' that provides new customer value by utilizing a large site of approximately 3,000 pyeong, remodeled from four existing gas stations and charging stations, in line with the trend toward complexification and large-scale facilities.
This electric vehicle charging service was implemented in cooperation with Daeyoung Chaebi, a company equipped with total solutions for charger manufacturing and services.
